Your baby's fourth trimester starts from the moment they are born and lasts until they are three months old. The term is used to describe a period of great change and development in your newborn and in the mother; as baby adjusts to life outside the womb and you adjust to your new role as a parent.
Rebecca from Shore Beginnings in Hove has over 30 years’ experience working as a health professional in the NHS. She is a qualified midwife, nurse, health visitor and infant feeding specialist and her vast experience means that there really aren’t many issues to do with birth and the first few years of life that Rebecca hasn’t already seen. She is widely known for her expertise, wisdom, compassion and caring approach.
Her real passion is helping new parents have the best start to their journey by offering education and hands on, practical support for breastfeeding and the fourth trimester. She believes that empowering parents to understand the impact that their early parenting has on their baby’s brain development is absolutely key in terms of emotional wellbeing and mental health. She is a Grobrain practitioner and facilitator, accredited by the Association of Infant Mental Health.
